Via the quick connect toolbar, you can open an ad-hoc session by specifying the host and session type. It's also possible to create a template and establish the connect with your template. Configure the settings in the template, and Remote Desktop Manager will apply them when connecting to the specified host.
The control is composed of multiple sub controls.
Quick Connect Toolbar
This area is used either to type in the host information, or by using the drop down list and selecting a host from your Quick Connect history.

Quick Connect Host Selection
Listing network discoverable devices is a lengthy operation.
The ellipsis button will list network discoverable computer to allow you to select computer from the list.
Quick Connect Type Selection
Clicking on this button will cause a drop down list to appear.
Quick Connect - Session list
The default templates included with Remote Desktop Manager are above the seperator. Below the separator lists your custom templates.
Selecting a session type from the top area of the menu opens the session. Selecting a template is quite powerful because you can specify all options: Credentials, display mode, typing macros, etc. This template will be used to connect to the host using its settings. In that case, the host field in the template must be set to the $QUICK_CONNECT$ variable.
Quick Connect Button
Type a host name or IP address, then click on the Connect button to launch the connection.
