SYNOPSIS

Modify or clear your data source master key

 

SYNTAX

Set-RDMDatasourceMasterKey -DataSource [DataSource] <PSDataSource> -NewMasterKey [NewMasterKey] <SecureString> -NoMasterKey [NoMasterKey] <SwitchParameter> [<CommonParameters>]

 

DESCRIPTION

 

 

PARAMETERS

  -DataSource <PSDataSource>

(Required) Specifies the data source to change the master key

 

  -NewMasterKey <SecureString>

(Required) New data source master key.

 

  -NoMasterKey <SwitchParameter>

(Required) Set no master key.

 

  <CommonParameters>

This cmdlet supports the common parameters: Verbose, Debug, ErrorAction, ErrorVariable, WarningAction, WarningVariable,OutBuffer and OutVariable.For more information, type, "get-help about_commonparameters".

EXAMPLE 1

PS C:\> $dataSource = Get-RDMDataSource -Name MyDataSource; Set-RDMDatasourceMasterKey -DataSource $dataSource -NewMaster (ConvertTo-SecureString -AsPlainText "MyMasterKey" -Force)

 

Modify the master key of the data source named MyDataSource to MyMasterKey
