Google Chrome



This entry is used to define and configure a Web Browser (http/https) session with Google Chrome. It allows you to open a Google Chrome browser, either external or embedded, to a site of your choice. More importantly, it can perform an automatic login on most web sites using the Devolutions Web Login or the Auto Login Embedded mode.

The use of the External display mode requires the installation of the Devolutions Web Login browser extension in the external web browser.

Web Browser URL

Enter the website URL to open a web page.

Assign Favicon to Session

Helper utility is used to extract the favicon from the web site, thereby assigning it to the session. This assists in recognizing the proper entry in a large list.


Forces the web page to go over HTTPS.

Web Browser Application

Allows you to choose your preferred Internet browser. Select between:

Internet Explorer


Google Chrome

Apple Safari

Default: This setting means that the computer's default browser will be used.

Visible Tabs

Allows you to display the browser tabs inside your embedded session. Select between:




Show Favicon

Display the favicon in the address bar of the embedded browser.

Ignore Certificate Errors

Ignore certificate errors that can be generated by websites.

Private Session (incognito)

Open the website URL in a private session (incognito mode), thus preventing Chrome from saving your browsing history.

Show URL

Display the web page URL in the Content area.


Allows you to use predefined templates to connect to several common websites.

Security Questions

Configure security questions that can be associated to a website entry.

Language Code

If you wish to use another language besides English, you may do so by entering the desired language code.


Login tab

When using the External mode the Autofill and Html Control ID tabs will be disabled. Enter your Username, Password and Domain (if necessary) for the information to automatically be filled in the web page. You can also use the Devolutions Web Login to automatically connect.

Browser Extensions

Your session must be checked as Enable web browser extension link for the auto fill feature to work. This is used in conjunction with the web browser extension. Please consult Devolutions Web Login topic for more information.

Automatic refresh

Enable the regular refresh of the page.

A feature of Chrome enables web services to open certain links with the user's prior approval. Enable this option to launch your application on external protocol request.
