Auto Login for Embedded Sessions

Description

Our Web Browser (HTTP/HTTPS) session offers four authentication modes. The Form authentication is the most widely used.

OPTION

DESCRIPTION

Form

The authentication page contains controls that allows the user to enter credentials.

Basic

URL Encoding of the credentials to access a resource.

NTLM

Integrated Windows Authentication is used to automatically authenticate against the remote resource. NTLM is only available with Internet Explorer.

Form Authentication

The Form Authentication Mode requires the ID of the controls used for authentication to be specified in the entry. There is no standard in website control IDs and any similarity between web sites is purely coincidental.

To help identify these controls, the application allows the user to Discover the field IDs of the log in page.
