SSH Port Forward

Description

 

This entry is used to define and configure a SSH Port Forward session.

 

The SSH Port Forward entry allows you to redirect network connections to other devices. Unlike the SSH Tunnel entry, the SSH Port Forward entry allows you to redirect multiple connections.

OPTION

DESCRIPTION

New

Create a new port forwarding tunnel.

Import... (.csv)

Import a list of tunnel from a CSV format file.

Edit

Edit the currently selected tunnel.

Delete

Delete the currently selected tunnel.

 

SSH Port Forward Window

When creating a new port forwarding tunnel, the following window is displayed:

Source

Enter the source hostname or IP address.

Source port

Enter the source port.

Destination

Enter the destination hostname or IP address.

Destination port

Enter the destination port.

Mode

Select the forwarding mode. Select between:

Local

Remote

DESCRIPTION

Host

Enter the host name or IP address of the device.

Port

Enter the port to access the remote computer. Set the port to 0 to use the default port.

Port generator

Clicking on the icon to display the Port Generator.

Username

Enter the username to connect to the remote computer.

Password

Enter the password to connect to the remote computer.

View / Hide Password

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Password Generator

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Password Analyzer

Indicates the strength of the password.

Always ask for password

Check this option to be prompted for the password upon every usage of this entry. It also has the effect of preventing the password from being specified.

Internet Protocol

Select your preferred Internet Protocol. Select between:

Default

IPv4

IPv6

Disconnect action

Select what happens when the session's connection is lost. Select between:

Default

Close

Keep open

Reconnect

Delay before reconnecting

Enter the amount of time to wait before reconnecting the session when the connection if lost.

Enable logging

Create a log file in the location specified below.

Log path

Enter the path for the log file.

Ellipsis button

Open a file explorer to select the log file path.

Show logs

Display logs in the terminal/

Always accept fingerprint

Accept any fingerprint without prompting for permission.

Do not display error messages

Do not display the error dialog when an error occurs.

Hide when connection succesful

Hide the session from the dashboard when it succeeds.

Enable TCP keepalives

Keep the TCP connection instead of creating a new one.

Seconds

Time for TCP keepalive.

Use SSH authentication agent

Use the Key Agent Manager for private keys.

Allow SSH authentication agent forwarding

Enable the Key Agent Manager forwarding.

No shell

Prevent the shell from starting.
