This entry is used to define and configure a generic host session that could be used as the parent for others. You can define a subset of templates to apply at the execution.

Since no session can be established with simply a Host entry, this is mostly useful to either apply templates, or to serve as a parent for sub-connections. Please see Templates or Sub connections Overview for more details.

Host

Enter the hostname or IP address of the remote device.

Elipsis button

Provides the list of computers discovered on your network. This can take a few moments to generate.

Prompt for host

Prompt you every time for the hostname or IP address.

Use template credentials

Use the template credentials (if using a template).

Username

Enter the username that applies to the Host.

View / Hide Password

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Password Generator

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Password

Enter the password that applies to the Host.

Password Analyzer

Indicates the strength of the password.

Domain

Enter the domain that applies to the Host.

 

Default Action

The Default Action is the one executed when either pressing enter, double-clicking or by using the Open Session command.

Choose sub-connection to launch

Will display a dialog allowing you to choose which Sub-Connections to launch. If only one sub-connection exists, it will be launched automatically.

Choose template

Will display a dialog allowing you to choose which template to apply.

Select templates

You can filter the list of templates by using this command. Using click and ctrl-click to make your selection.
