Native FTP

Description

 

This entry is used to define and configure a Native FTP session.

 

The Native FTP entry offers plain FTP or SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) operations.

OPTION

DESCRIPTION

Host

Enter the host name or IP address of the device.

Ellipsis button

Provides the list of computers discovered on your network. This can take a few moments to generate.

Port

Click on the link to modify the port number. Set the port to 0 to use the default port.

Port generator

Clicking on the icon to display the Port Generator.

Username

Enter the account username.

Password

Enter the account password.

View / Hide Password

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Password Generator

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Password Analyzer

Indicates the strength of the password.

Passive Mode

Enable or disable the FTP passive mode.

Always ask for password

Check this option to be prompted for the password upon every usage of this entry. It also has the effect of preventing the password from being specified.

Start location

Enter the starting directory.

Show files in tree view

Display files in the tree view in addition to folders.

Proxy

Enter the hostname or Id address of the proxy server.

Port

Click on the link to modify the port number. Set the port to 0 to use the default port.

Port generator

Clicking on the icon to display the Port Generator.

Bypass Proxy on local

Bypass the proxy server when connecting on a remote device that has a local IP address.

Proxy type

Specify the proxy type to use. Select between:

HTTP

SOCKS4

SOCKS4A

SOCKS5

Username

Enter the account username.

Password

Enter the account password.

View / Hide Password

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Password Generator

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Password strength indicator

Indicates the strength of the password.
