New-RDMUser

SYNOPSIS

Create a new user instance.

 

SYNTAX

New-RDMUser -Administrator [Administrator] <SwitchParameter> -Login [Login] <String> -SetUser [SetUser] <SwitchParameter> -AuthentificationType [AuthentificationType] <String> -Disable [Disable] <SwitchParameter> -Email [Email] <String> -IntegratedSecurity [IntegratedSecurity] <SwitchParameter> -LoginEmail [LoginEmail] <String> -Password [Password] <SecureString> -SkipCreateSQLServerLogin [SkipCreateSQLServerLogin] <SwitchParameter> [<CommonParameters>]

 

DESCRIPTION

Create a user instance. The instance has not yet been saved. Assign the result to a variable then call "Set-RDMUser $s" to save the user.

 

PARAMETERS

  -Administrator <SwitchParameter>

Gives the user administrator rights

 

  -Login <String>

Login.

 

  -SetUser <SwitchParameter>

Set the user in the data source

 

  -AuthentificationType <String>

Authentification type. Available in some data sources

 

  -Disable <SwitchParameter>

Disables the user. Available in some data sources

 

  -Email <String>

User email. Available when using a all data source except DODB

 

  -IntegratedSecurity <SwitchParameter>

Integrated security. Only available in SQL Server and DVLS data sources

 

  -LoginEmail <String>

Login email. Available in some data sources

 

  -Password <SecureString>

User password. Available when using a SQL Server data source and integrated security is not used

 

  -SkipCreateSQLServerLogin <SwitchParameter>

Skip to create the SQL Server login. Available in SQL Server data source

 

  <CommonParameters>

This cmdlet supports the common parameters: Verbose, Debug, ErrorAction, ErrorVariable, WarningAction, WarningVariable,OutBuffer and OutVariable.For more information, type, "get-help about_commonparameters".

EXAMPLE 1

PS C:\> $user = New-RDMUser -Name "New SecurityGroup" ;Set-RDMUser $user

 

Create & save new user.
