The Password Management tab is used to manage multiple settings affecting the passwords of the entry, such as its complexity or pre-determined templates.

Password Template

 

The Password Template section let you build or select your preferred password limitations or basic necessities.

 

The Template settings include:

 

Default: Currently, the default setting functions as None.

None: There will be no restriction on passwords.

Inherited: This inherits the settings from the data source configuration.

Custom: Customize your password requirements by choosing minimum lengths or a number of symbols.

List: With this, you can select from your currently available password template list.

 

 

Password Validation

 

The Password Validation has two different settings, Complexity and Pwned check.

 

Complexity

The Complexity settings dictates whether or not the Password Templates will be enforced. Its settings include:

 

Default: Currently, the default setting functions as None.

None: There will be no restriction on passwords.

Required: The requirements set for the password validity will need to be met to proceed.

Warning: The password will be accepted even if it does not meet the set requirements, but users will receive a warning nonetheless.

Inherited: The setting will be inherited from the data source configuration.

 

Pwned Check

This setting is used to search for your inputted passwords within the Have I Been Pwned? resources.

 

Default: Currently, the default setting functions as None.

None: There will be no verification.

Enabled: The verification will be done.

Inherited: The setting will be inherited from the data source configuration.
