Password Management

Description

 

Password Management sets password policies for your data source. For more information regarding the Password Complexity or Forbidden Password, follow these links:

Some of these settings are overridden by Group Policies. For more information see How to modify Group Policy Templates.

GENERAL

DESCRIPTION

Password history

Indicate the maximum saved password to keep in history. For more information, please consult the Password History topic.

Password strength calculator

Select the tool to use to analyze the password strength.

Default is zxcvbn

Legacy is Google Password Stength

Zxcvbn

Pwned check

Verify if a password has been part of a data breach and warn users to change their password.

Allow password for external system

For more information, please consult the Allow password access form external system topic.

 

ADVANCED

DESCRIPTION

Disable password saving (shared)

Prevent users from saving passwords in entries.

Disable password saving (local)

Prevent users from saving passwords using Windows credential vault. This is mostly used for RDP sessions.

Disable password saving (tools)

Prevent users from saving passwords in the Tools tab of a session.

Disable password saving (user specific settings)

Prevent users from saving passwords in the User Specific Settings.

Disable password variable for all sessions

Renders the $PASSWORD$ variable unusable for this data source.

Allow reveal password for administrator and authorized users (Ctrl+Alt+Enter)

Controls if reveal password is enabled for authorized users.

Allow show credentials (if enabled in the entry)

Shows the credentials if the box "Allow show credentials (everybody)" is check inside the entry.

Allow password in macro (send keys)

Renders the $MACRO_PASSWORD$ variable useless for this data source.
